Born to J.C. and Mary Helen (Semaan) Bullock (Both Deceased) 10-15-1950, Graham General Hospital
Married to Micki JoAnn Putnam of Throckmorton, Texas 1971, she is currently the GISD Dyslexia coordinator and a licensed dyslexia therapist.
She has 20+ years of teaching experience in Young County Schools.
We have two children: DeAnna Bullock Armstrong, an Ag. Communications graduate of Texas Tech with international experience and is currently the Director of Graham Chamber of Commerce. She is married to Michael, an A & M Grad. Currently selling real estate with Weatherbee Real Estate & Construction. They Have one Child, John William, soon to be 4 years old.
Joe Will, a Speech Communication grad. From T.C.U. currently in oil field related services.
Micki and I have been active members of East Side Church of Christ in Graham for 25 years.
I am a 4th generation rancher in Young County: my great grandfather establishing a reaching enterprise in central Young county in 1883-84. The Lazy J
Ranch, which has been family held continuously, has been inducted into the Ranching Heritage Program of Texas. I have two sisters, Joan Blankenship of Graham and Donna (Cookie) Haile of Archer City. Micki has one sister, Luretta, of Throckmorton and one brother, Joe, of Abilene.
I am a graduate of Newcastle ISD and Tarleton State University B.S. Industrial Edu. & Technology.
I have been involved in the feed manufacturing industry, welding and metal fabrication, oil and gas exploration, along with the many years in production agriculture.
I have served 5 terms (20 years) as Young County Commissioner Pct. 2 accumulating more than 500 hrs of continuing education, served on NORTEX Regional Review Committee, Solid Waste Advisory Committee as well as several local planning committees and industry service committees. Served 9 years as trustee NISD, coached little league and Babe Ruth League base ball in Graham and Olney. I serve on the Young County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, currently as President of the Board.
I enjoy many different activities including: Rodeo, water & snow skiing, playing country music and racquet sports. Was honored as All State Class B Quarter Back 1968, All Area Basket Ball 1967-68 and ran a leg of the state qualifying mile relay team 1967.
