DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO ENTER INTO A TAX ABATEMENT AGREEMENT, PURSUANT TO THE COUNTY’S GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA UNDER THE PROPERTY REDEVELOPMENT AND TAX ABATEMENT ACT, CHAPTER 312 OF THE TEXAS TAX CODE, AS REQUESTED BY TAPADEROS SOLAR, LLC, FOR APPROXIMATELY $512,000,000 IN IMPROVEMENTS RELATED TO GENERATION AND STORAGE OF ELECTRICITY USING SOLAR PANELS AND BATTERIES FOR A TEN YEAR PERIOD AND BEING A 100% TAX ABATEMENT OF AD VALOREM TAXES, WITH PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF TAXES (PILOT PAYMENTS) TO BE MADE ANNUALLY TO YOUNG COUNTY AND ANY MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO, AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY JUDGE TO SIGN ALL RELEVANT DOCUMENTS. THE PROPERTY SUBJECT TO THE ABATEMENT AGREEMENT IS LOCATED IN SOUTHWESTERN YOUNG COUNTY, NORTH OF FARM TO MARKET ROAD 1974 AND EAST OF FARM TO MARKET ROAD 578 WITHIN THE YOUNG COUNTY TAPADEROS SOLAR REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER 1. THE DRAFT ABATEMENT AGREEMENT AND A LIST OF CORRESPONDING PROPERTY OWNERS, PARCELS, AND LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE MEETING OR IN ADVANCE IN JUDGE WIN GRAHAM’S OFFICE LOCATED AT 516 FOURTH STREET, GRAHAM, TEXAS 76450.
NOTE: The Commissioners' Court of Young County may discuss, deliberate, and take all appropriate action on any matter listed on this Agenda. Items on this Agenda may be taken out of the order indicated. Testimony before the Young County Commissioners’ Court may be taken under oath pursuant to §81.030 of the Local Government Code.
